Proceq is a global leader in non-destructive testing (NDT) technology and equipment, now part of Screening Eagle Technologies. Since its founding, Proceq has been driving the development of the NDT industry. In 1954, the company launched the world's first concrete rebound hammer, the Schmidt Hammer, which remains the most widely used concrete compressive strength assessment tool globally and has been adopted by all major regional standards. In 1975, engineer Dietmar Leeb and Dr. Brandestini co-invented the Leeb hardness testing method, subsequently launching the Equotip portable hardness tester, which has been recognized by international standards organizations including ASTM, ISO and EN. In the 1970s and 1980s, the company successfully launched the Profometer rebar locator and concrete cover meter series, now in its sixth generation. Proceq's product line covers five major areas: concrete NDT (concrete scanners, rebar locators, strength testers), metal structure analysis (hardness testers, flaw detectors), laboratory testing equipment (material strength, gloss measurement, paper and film testing), underground detection tools (GPR, mobile mapping systems, underground imaging software), and road testing technology (road marking retroreflectometers, traffic sign retroreflectometers). Core product series include Schmidt rebound hammers, Silver Schmidt, Equotip hardness testers, Pundit ultrasonic testers, Profometer rebar locators, GP series GPR and Zehntner gloss meters. In 2019, Tectus Group chairman Bruno Valsangiacomo and Tectus Dreamlab founding partner Marcel Poser co-founded Screening Eagle Technologies, merging Proceq with Singapore software robotics company Dreamlab, with the mission to "protect the built world with sensors, software and data." That same year, the company launched six new products simultaneously, including the Pundit ultrasonic concrete imaging system, GP8800 compact GPR, GS8000 underground mapping system, UT8000 flaw detector, Silver Schmidt OS8200 rebound hammer and Zehntner ZG8000 gloss meter. Proceq has been ISO 9001 certified since 1994 and obtained Swiss federal accredited ISO 17025 calibration laboratory certification in 2022, further demonstrating its highest standard quality assurance capabilities in equipment calibration. The company has consecutively won the SIQT Best Innovator Award (2020/2021 and 2021/2022).
